Trying to decide on what color of shoes to purchase for my daughter's upcoming wedding. My dress will be black with a burgundy lace overlay.

I tend to wear safe black shoes a lot. Thinking I might go for something a little different for this occasion, and truthfully no one will notice my shoes except for me and my husband

Which color do you think would be best?

Why isn't burgundy on the list? I really can't see anything but black or burgundy working...

Yes, this exactly, I'm rooting for the burgundy!

Autumn.

Burgundy's not on the list because I've not seen a single pair of burgundy shoes after looking at a few hundred pairs online.

If you ARE interested in burgundy they do exist aplenty online; however, that all depends on your preferred style and BUDGET. Wow! The prices of some of them...

You could also get a pair (of fabric shoes) you like and have them dyed to match your outfit if you think you'd use them again.

Personally, I'd go for black if the possibility of using the color was limited in the future. Many of us have too many shoes as it is!

P.S. Whatever your color choice, make sure they are COMFORTABLE or at least make sure you take your ballet flats for dancing or whatever!

Black. The "burgundy over lace" isn't enough to make a burgundy shoe worthwhile. Go with black...something pretty and lightweight looking....you don't want to have "heavy" looking shoes with lace anywhere on the dress.

what time is the wedding? what style of shoe? what is your skin tone?

I might pick a gold sandal or something textured like a black and cream python.

One of tge weddings I was a bridesmaid in had burgundy dresses with gold shoes. It looked nice!

There are loads and loads of burgundy shoes on Amazon and Nordstrom's. You should look.
