I was really hoping to get some good info on perfumes here...

I have a tendancy to shy away from all of them! because, they all have such a strong underlying smell of alcohol. I haven't found one yet that I can wear. I stick generally to body splashes, body sprays, and good smelling lotions

Have you checked out any of Jo Malone's collection?

for women, tigress, although that is getting pretty hard to find since they don't make it anymore :0) i have never worn it without getting a compliment and i can't say that about my other perfumes.

Huh....that's a tough one I think, since most perfumes, colognes are based on alcohol. (Alcohol is basically the "carrier" for the plant extracts, essence and oils.)
I know though that the lowest alcohol content is in some body splashes, since it is not concentrated.
The alternative?
Try Victoria's Secret body powders...which smell absolutely fabulous, have no alcohol what-so-ever.....and some of them look awesome on you as well (think small light reflecting shimmer). NICCCCEEEEEE !! lol

Must not be the right women... If you're talking about this one,

you get a compliment from me. As a matter of fact, I was wearing it, too, among other fragrances meant for men. I just like them better.

Labyrinth is on a distinguished road
i am a HUGE fan of good colognes and i have a pretty good sized collection. they all smell GREAT. next time you head to the store, give them a sample. they are not cheap but they are worth the money.

Dolce & Gabbana (the men's is absolutely AMAZING. the women's is pretty good too)
Tommy Bahama (very unique spicy exotic scent)
Envy by Gucci (sexy and masculine. you WILL get compliments!)
Bvlgari (this one is an incredible scent. men's and women's smell different but both are great!)
Vera Wang (the men's is very nice and Princess is extraordinary for the ladies)
Reaction by Kenneth Cole (this is another very tasty scent for a man. compliments sure to come!)
Armani Code (expensive but worth the investment, all of Armani's colognes are high caliber)
Prada (this is one of my personal favorites. it smells absolutely nothing like cologne, it smells more like an expensive bar of barber soap. if you prefer to have that fresh out of the shower smell thats slightly flowery and sweet but still masculine, you will LOVE this scent)
Dreamer by Versace (another knockout! love this cologne <333)
Platinum Egioste by Chanel Paris (this is on my 'to get' list but it is sold out just about everywhere. very expensive almost the men's equivalent to no.5 in terms of popularity and great scent)

this list is like my top 10 of all time favorites. if you have this as your cologne rotation then consider yourself blessed with the gift of knowing how to smell immaculate and being spontaneous

other very good colognes to consider are Chrome by Azzaro, Pi by Givenchy and Bvlgari Black which is a unisex cologne that smells great on both women and men!

a few ladies perfumes that are big hits around here that i did not mention are 360 by Perry Ellis, Organza by Givenchy and Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior.

some are fragrances i purchased for my mom (and she gets tons of compliments) and some are my aunt's favorites (she has excellent taste). theres always more to add so i will add them as they come along to head and/or nose.

good thread i enjoy discussing fragrances. they are a great investment because they really do give you confidence. surprisingly more so than a new pair of shoes or a haircut. keep it coming everyone!

For women, I really like Dune. Not very common though but I smelled it once on someone and I was like, "I've got to get that for my wife".

Default Men's Cologne

The original Chanel for men which has not been made in twenty years was the best. Everyone loved it.
Bois De Portugal by Creed is simular to the old Chanel but not the same.
Paul Sebastian is still tops.
It smells like.....You just took a shower
