I have been using MAC Studio Finish concealer for quite a few years. Highly pigmented and you only need very little to cover dark circles. I like to apply it with my fingers. I would suggest getting color matched at a MAC store.
Dark circles are often an unavoidable function of age and thinning delicate skin. It's usually not about allergies.
Aging, allergies either, neither or both, but for for sure many people aging, thinning skin will be a huge contributing factor. I know they weren't much of a problem for me till I both hit my 50's and developed more allergies.
Help I have dark under the eye circles, I believe age related, under the eye make up suggestions
I like bobby browns orange under eye concealer. When I don't get enough sleep I get purple bluish circles. Orange cancels this out. Most cheaper concealer tend to be yellowish which does not mask the color.
I would imagine the color that works best to conceal depends largely on one's natural skin tone. I'd be surprised if peach works equally well on very fair pinky complexion, midtone olive skin, Asian and black skin.
My daughter is Asian and uses an orange or "peach" concealer as her circles tend to be bluish as well. It matters less what your skin tone is and more what your circles are, as any color corrector should be worn under concealer or foundation.
It seems most are suggesting "Cosmetic" answers to having dark circles. Causes are actually mostly genetically related as to being susceptible... But, there is also the added long hours and lack of sleep that doubles or triples what may be a more or less tendency due to genetic tendency!!
I must have been way ahead of the curve..because it was obvious my genetic background told me I was susceptible to not just dark circles.. BUT puffy (Bags) under my eyes as well!! Tea Bags ( brewed and chilled helped) so looked into holistic natural path avenues~~ Lack of something or too much of another thing in ones diet or OTC and one's use of soap/cleansers also causes aggravations to the delicate skin that surround the eyes as well. Too harsh or aggressive rubbing with some promoted Face cleansers can also aggravate/or damage the thinner skin in this area!
