Do you care if others find your sense of style or clothing fashionable? Or do you dress just for yourself and not pay attention to what others think?

Ideally I'd like to be more trendy but I'm too lazy for that. So I just dress how I want and if I get compliments it's a bonus.

By dressing how I want I don't mean dirty clothes or tattered clothing lol. I mean like jeans and a shirt or hoodie with some sneakers that's what I mean by dressing casually.

I like to dress for myself and the occasion. For example, at work in a high rise office building, we can wear jeans each day. I do not feel comfortable wearing jeans to work, I usually wear business casual (dress pants and a top) or dresses. On the weekends, I usually wear dresses and my workout clothes when I workout in the mornings. I just feel better abut myself when I am dressed nicer, feel more confident. Only really dress down when traveling.

For the most part, I dress for myself. My style reflects me, and I don't make style choices based on what others think. But at the same time, I recognize that how people percieve the way I present myself may color what they think of me. First impressions and all. So I strive to put forth the best version of me that I can.

Sometimes I primp up for the opposite sex. No point in lying about that. Many people do it. Wanting to look your best. Otherwise, I dress the way "I" like and for the function. If my job requires a suit (I'll wear a suit). If I attend an event that calls for Black Tie, I'll go "Black Tie." In any event they would be items that "I" think I look good in.

We do, often have to dress to impress some more than others though.

I dress for myself. I like to look good for my husband, I know he is proud to have me on his arm, etc. when we go out.

ha.

I don't dress to impress but try to get work appropriate clothes. Where I'm working now, I think most people wear polo shirts and jeans/khakis. But I don't like polo or khakis, so I settle for dress shirt and pants. I don't pay much attention to trend other than if I see a shirt that I like and appropriate for work or other stuff, I'll buy it.

I dress for myself - I never dress to impress others. However, I certainly care about how I appear to others.

This sums things up for me pretty well.

I aim to look put together most of the time. I am inspired by trends but not a trend follower. I have a pretty firm grasp on my own style and have for a long time now. It's a bonus when I get compliments. But I am generally dressing myself to give off the mood or impression I need to tackle the day.

I tend to be a bit more dressed up than average for most ocassions, but my style is still rooted in practicality.
