I know of someone who tried to convince her late spouse before her wedding to get a mani and pedi like her self. He said it wasnt manly and when she finally did see his feet, more like his horse hoofs , his tonails were growing twisted like a ram's horn. How manly is that? Ugh!!

Thanks for the laugh! Seen that, wish I could un-see it!
I recently treated my adult son and his GF to a mani-pedi appointment. He has occasional issues with ingrown toenails and one of the girls where I go is fabulous with toenail challenges. He said he had just acclimated himself to the discomfort and was amazed at the results. While there, another man, a senior, came in for a pedicure. I don't know if he would ever go on his own.
I used to get weekly professional manicure and pedicure, but quit last year and now do them myself. I developed a nasty toenail fungus shortly, like a few days, after my last pedicure. I'd never had toenail or fingernail fungus before and it was difficult to get rid of. Haven't been to any nail salon for a service since. I also haven't had another fungus infection.
Not a guy but I like when guys get them. I think they look good on both genders and it shows me that the guy is comfortable with his sexuality because there's still a stigma against it.
I took my husband after he lost his job and retrained with the Red Cross and got hired as a lifeguard - at age 58! I thought that deserved some recognition and he loved the pedicure and said he needed it since he now worked with his feet (and mostly everything else) on display. But really it's very soothing to me, you just have to find the right place.
Anyone who can't reach or has diabetes, do you know medicare will cover getting your nails cut every 2 months in some circumstances? It's not a nice pedicure and sometimes not even a good job, but that's for you to work out.
