I know the feeling of walking down the street seeing some shoes you love then remembering there's no hope in hell they do your width.
I use DUO if dont know if you have heard of them? They do a great range of womens boots and ladies shoes all in fitted sizes so the cater for the wide and narrow ones amongst us.

Last weekend, I went on an emergency shoe buying trip for my DIL, who didn't have time to find some dressy shoes for a formal dance she was going to. BIG FUN for me (old 11W) to walk around the mall and choose a couple of super high, semi slutty shoes in 7 1/2 for her.
I have found, for myself, I must spend a lot of money for each pair I buy if I want comfort. So, as a result, I limit myself to the basics of a few pairs instead of a lot of cute cheap ones. There is one shoe store in town where they can fit a range of sizes.
This brings me to my pet peeve..not only for shoes, but also some other things (like pants that are long enough). Why do malls have millions of shoes that are all alike, yet they can't stock some sizes for me?
For wide feet, or any kind of foot that differs from the norm, try Foot Solutions - Foot Pain & Relief Products. They will professionally measure and fit your foot to the proper shoe, and they carry everything from running shoes to sandals to dress shoes. Just punch in your zip code to find the nearest location. And, good luck!
Yep Macie'smom, my 12 yr old daughter just went to a size 10-10 1/2 W, and I can find plenty of, shall we say "Vegan" shoes, or comfy shoes. Poor thing can no longer sail into Target or Old Navy and leave with cute, cheap flats or heels. She likes bright, fun, trendy shoes. Not earth ma-ma shoes or walking shoes. Plus she may still be growing so I hesitate to spend $100.00 per pair.
I keep hearing about how women of this young new generation have bigger and wider feet so where are the cute shoes to fit them? My daughter is tall , slender and loves fashion and would love to spend her gift and allowance money on cute shoes. So where are they?
I saw the term "Vegan" on one of the many shoe websites I have visited this month, as a category for shoes not made of leather, but all the earth ma-ma type. I would wear alot of them, but my daughter has no interest in them.
Truly, I would think this is a great opportunity for shoe designers. She likes/can afford brand names like Candies/ Mudd/ o. But they stop at a size 10M ( too small in the toes) and jump to an 11M which is too big and fall off. She has tried on about 20 prs. NONE fit. She is actually hoping her feet grow so she can at least be an 11 M , which is hard to find anyhow. GGGrrrrrrr!!!
