Earlier today I was doing some shopping and running some errands. When I was checking out there was a woman in front of me that was probably 40-45 but she was wearing a very low-cut top and booty shorts. Granted, she seemed to be in shape and good for her age, but nevertheless, after a certain age is it really appropriate for women to be wearing very skimpy/revealing things? Say about 35 but 40 at the latest?
If that were me, I'd just mind my own business and let her wear whatever she wants.
I've seen some women over 40 that are as hot as most of the girls on any college campus. If they still look good, there is nothing wrong with dressing to show off their shape. Older fat women could do with a touch of modesty though .

What *you* think is attractive isn't automatically the gold standard for how people should or shouldn't dress. Whether *you* think someone is "hot enough" has no bearing on anything whatsoever. Whether *you* think someone is "too fat" or not doesn't equate to whether something is "appropriate" or not. This actually goes for everyone, male or female, although men seem to be the ones who think women should only exist to please them and should behave accordingly.

Why only older women? I've seen some young and very out of shape teenagers and twenty somethings wearing some really revealing stuff.
However, it boils down to this - people will and do wear what they want. There are no clothes police.

I say if she's got the body (and skin) for it, a woman should wear whatever the heck she wants no matter her age.
I didn't realize 40-ish was older. I am going to be older any minute now.
Well, how do you think that struck me at 63? I just

Yes, because it is quite possible that you might just look better and catch the attention of the 20 something's boyfriend! "She's old enough to be your mother!" says the 20 something and the boyfriend says, "But, she isn't my mother!" as he glares at her and turns to look at his gf dressed with her flab hanging over her jeans, uncombed hair and flip flops.

I disagree. She should dress as she wants no matter what her age, and those that don't approve of it can just turn away and spare themselves the anguish that comes with judging others.
