I beg to differ. If you are wearing a fashion-forward dress, clutch and hairstyle you can get away w sheer stockings. If you are a tan woman than tan. Black has just become more popular but it depends how you pair it.

I just don't like the feeling of bare legs unless I am wearing shorts or a summer dress. Legs in silky hose feel so nice.

I am not picturing the thick disclosed (too dark) kind they wear. But sheer elegant is ok
