Shave more than every week.

As long as I shave every day or two it doesn't go flying all over the place and gets trapped in the shaving cream which washes down the sick. Really if your hair is flying every where you're shaving wrong. Even if I go a week and it's too long to stay suspended in the shaving cream it just falls straight down. You're shaving, not scraping peeling paint off.

I'm actually trimming, not shaving.
My apologies for the misunderstanding.

My approach is probably pretty weird, but I have a full thick beard and I trim it occasionally so it doesn't get out of control. Needless to say, there's lots of hair trimmings. I first take all of the bottles and random toiletries away from the sink...then actually prop my kitchen trash can up on a stool in front of the mirror so that the majority of my hair falls right in the trash. Then I vacuum up all of the extra hair that missed the trash and fell in the sink.

Might sound ridiculous but it works for me.

They sell these things that you put in your sink to catch stuff. They are round, and fit down in your drain and will catch most items including hair. The screen is usually tight enough to prevent most hairs from going down the drain and clogging your sink. It's super easy to pick it up and clean it out. I keep them in kitchen and bathroom sinks all the time. I rarely need to plug my sinks so its not a problem.

Even if you did plug your sink, only enough hair would go do with the water that escaped while you were removing the plug and putting the screen in place. You usually get 3 or more in a package for different size drains, and they are very inexpensive.

Simply lay a couple of wet/damp paper towels over the sink area & let the hairs fall on them, & wrap it up & throw it away when you're done! (The wetness of the paper towels is better than dry so the hairs can stick better & not just fall off on the floor or something.)
