Turns out I got way more use out of the t-shirt than I ever did out of the boyfriend. Que sera sera!
I love that attitude! I started buying better shoes/boots when I moved to Texas. I got a good pair of cognac-colored riding boots in 2001 that I still get compliments on; however, I had to have them resoled (which is sometimes necessary).
Leather coats and jackets. Some getting a little snug, though. I gave my son and daughter some of the older ones, as they're skinny bods can still fit into them.
2 pair of all cotton low rise boot cut Levi's jeans I bought in the 90's. They are still the most figure flattering of any pants I own, and have developed a natural (as opposed to a fake treatment) wear to them. One pair is black, the other blue. The black pair has about worn through on an inner thigh, but it will live on as a pair of cutoffs when it finally give way. 20+ years old.
A 15 year old pair of Doc Martin's. They were the most expensive item id ever bought up to that point, but my best friend had a pair, and I just had to have a pair myself. Lost touch with the friend, still have the shoes. So well made!
