Don’t do it. I have had plenty of success using brightening skin care. Try rose hip oil as a serum, and I like that Belief overnight brightening mask. Also get an intensive vitamin c treatment - I’ve been using Mychelle’s Vitamin c peel. This has evened out my skin completely. The boots botanical brightening products also worn well and I have used them in the past to get evened out.

Thank You!
Yeah...i wasn't sure what to use. I don't want to use harmful chemicals so this sounds much better. Thank you.

What kind of spots are they? Age spots, melasma, etc?

Glass_of_Merlot - You may also want to try a good concealer. If they are very dark, look at some of the products made by Dermablend. They have products with good coverage that are not very heavy - at least, not like they used to be. If you happen to live near a Sephora store, they often have a good selection of these products.

My best to you!

a good hydroquinone product from paula begoun. Or, laser treatments. The creams take time to work so don't expect instant results.

I have melasma (patchy areas of slightly darker pigmentation) and I did some research and learned that laser treatments can make it worse. I did not like the chemicals in the hydroquinine creams so kept looking.

I found a great product that completely fades my melasma and other dark spots. The active ingredient is mandelic acid and the product line is called Nucelle. Another positive effect has been that I never have any sort of breakout using that products. I was never oily or acne prone but occasionally would have a clogged pore here and there but this has completely eliminated it. I use the wash, the toner, and the serum. And, I am also careful to always use a moisturizer with at least SPF 30 at all times on my face.

Default Skin creams

A great commercial product which I used for six months is "Say Yes to Carrots". I had dark spots all over my legs from trauma, and this helped significantly.
Also, try Arnica Montana. It's really for swelling, bruising, and red marks, but this plant(?) is so amazing, I'm sure it could help in some way. It can only be purchased at a health food store. These are little tablets which look like nitroglycerin tabs, but Arnica Montana is amazing, and nothing else compares to it's healing abilities.
