Hi,
I'm interested in 1980's and 1990's style mens suits. The type of suit I'm wanting to learn more about is the slouchy, floppy, generous cloth fabric style Armani suit that showed up sometime during the 1980's. It was a very unstructured suit with very, very generous cut cloth fabric (almost "baggy", but not quite truly "baggy"). What year did this style of mens suit first show up and when was the last year you could still buy one new? Hugo Boss and Perry Ellis also helped to make this style of suit popular as well as they ran magazine advertisements for it. It was also known as a "Yuppie" suit too. I'd also like to know of some other designers and makers who copied this style of suit as it was very popular during the 80's and 90's. Thanks for any help.
