OP, even though this is an older thread, I see you're still around these days so to you or anyone w/ your height/weight, I suggest you watch this fashion Youtuber who has a classic style. Her sizing is similar to yours at 5’2”, 105lbs, size 00-0 bottoms, size XS-S tops & she seems to have no problems finding clothing all over.

This other fashion Youtuber also is very slim w/ a very classic style:

Thanks for the links. I briefly checked them out and will look at them more when I have more time. 5'2" and 105 lbs does not seem like a hard size to fit, frankly. I am about 5'1.5-2" and around 86 lbs, which makes it almost 20lbs less. I love, for the most part, Talbots styling, but their sizes are SO big, though some tops are great. J Crew carries OOP, as does Banana Republic, but they are kind of trendy at times and can be pricey. I have Talbots size 2P jeans from about 25 years ago (no, I don't wear them!), and they fit fairly well. The vanity sizing is maddening! Skinny fit pants at Talbots fit ok (but are large around the waist), but I am almost 52, and I limit that style as much as possible. I love dress trousers, dresses/skirts just below the knees - very classic styling (like Grace Kelly). Tough to find on a budget! I have found affordable places for stylish size 5 shoes, however. If I could only find clothes......

Thanks for the input! Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm pretty sure Coldwater Creek doesn't carry sizes less than 4 and they might not even carry that size anymore. I myself wear a 4 and I can say I'm not a petite due to my height. I'm 5'4" which is taller than petites.

I've bought pants for work in the Junior departments of the local department stores. They are pull-on stretch pants. You can easily find a small size there. I'm a size 4 in adult women's pants and wear a L or XL in juniors.

There's a store called Primark and they carry some XXS sizes. I've bought some of their sweaters and they are snug fitting and would definitely fit a smallish person.

Default So frustrated with clothing

I really need to find a place to find petite clothing. Very little fits me, as I am about 5'2" and 90 lbs. At 52 years old I don't want trendy, but I certainly don't want grandma either. I like very classic styles and very tailored pieces. I hate cheap fabrics, ankle pants, skinny pants, oversized tops such as tunics. (Gosh, I sound picky). I used to like Talbots, but their styles are not so great anymore, their quality has really gone down, and their clothes run huge. This thread was spawned in my frustration to find a pair of dark khaki cotton pants - again, not grandma but stylish. I cannot find anything! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I had a similar thread out there a while back, but none of the suggestions worked. I'm sorry, but I am so high maintenance......

Thanks in advance!

I don't mean to come off as judgmental...but 90 lbs seems very little... even for someone who is 5'2". I could see why you're having trouble finding clothes. Have you ever thought about gaining some weight?

I'm 4'11" - I often have to buy pants in the children's section (can be tricky w/waists to big, etc.) - fortunately I can usually/sometimes wear regular women's tops (but would prefer a shorter length). Check into the children's sections (girls and boys)

I wasn't trying to be rude with my comment... It's just that you normally don't come across many adult women who only weigh 90 lbs.. It seems a bit concerning.

So yes, the problems are quite similar - clothing comlanies treat you like you don’t exist and don’t want normal clothing.
This. I generally fall between Missy 16 and 1X. If I gain some weight, it is actually easier to find things that fit in the plus size departments. If I am closer to a Missy 16, forget about it. There is nothing for me in most places.

My solution was buying almost exclusively from companies like Lands End, LL Bean and Duluth Trading. Mail order clothing is often cut larger than things found in retailers. For the OP, I do truly have sympathy. The only suggestion I have for her is to buy things on sale and find a tailor. Have classic pieces altered. If you work with the tailor long enough, you’ll get a feel for what sort of things you can buy and have successfully tailored.

I remember losing weight and having a jacket tailored down for me.

Most clothing retailers are chasing the young crowd. They really don’t care whether they fit most modern women; they are content fitting a large segment of women. The rest of us do not count to them.

I found a silk shirt in XS at Orvis. This retailer carries classic clothing.
