I see women year round wearing tank tops and shorts underneath jackets and cloaks. Mind your own business.

My ex was a big burly man and wore shorts most of the year because his internal thermostat ran high. Perfect for me since my temps ran cold and he was my personal heater under the covers.

Thanks for bringing a normal perspective to this discussion.

After living in Phoenix, many people wore shorts and sandals year around. You got used to seeing it, even on nippy days. The older men in their seventies and eighties who would wear light or white shorts with black socks looked kind of funny, though.

Well I don't. They're presumably wearing them to workout class or something and not as outer wear if it under a jacket or whatever which seems appropriate. I only see men doing this. And don't tell me what to do.

It's their health not mine.

I believe the lowest temp I would wear shorts is 55 degrees. Also depends on time of year. 55 degrees in May is a lot warmer than 55 degrees in February.

Note: I am not looking for replies like "it's none of your business" or you can look away if it bothers you.
I dress for comfort. I could not possible care any less whether or not you approve.

As for short, my cut-off is about 50F. My torso gets cold long before my legs.

PS - If this really does annoy you, then you need help. Seriously.

Your point about the torso is totally correct. The torso is much more sensitive to cold than the legs. While I don't wear shorts in cold weather, I would be much less uncomfortable wearing shorts in cold weather than going out without a coat.

I wish our office would bring back some sort of dress code. It's just hard to take orders from someone that looks like they might ask you for a dollar in the parking lot.

As for the shorts outside of work...I doubt that would even register anymore. The only that hits that mark are the all nude dudes running around SF during the races.

Guys who want to wear shorts, regardless of temperature, really don’t care what you think of them. They’re not out trying to please you, they just want to be comfortable.

No it doesn't annoy me. Because it's normal and comfortable. I don't let simple things like that bother me.
