Does bleach work on suede shoes?
I have some unworn black suede shoes, but I want to turn them white or "natural light grey" color.
I dont want to start with the bleach unless I can be certain that it can be done.
I saw some youtube videos of people bleaching some black shoes that turned out bright orange.
I don't see the harm in trying if you want to change the color of the shoe. I doubt it will go all the way to white though. Bleach will probably fade the black and make it more grey. I don't know if it will do other damage, so you have to take the risk that the shoes will be ruined. Why not just buy a pair of shoes in the color that you want in the first place?
If you are bored and curious, do it. If you're trying to save money, I don't recommend ruining a perfectly good pair of shoes because you will almost certainly have to go out and buy the shoes you wanted in the first place anyway, and then you will also have a ruined pair of black shoes. Seems counter productive to me but if you're in for an adventure, go for it!
thanks.
these shoes are not made anymore, since 2014.
I had 3 pairs of white and one pair of lack one. The white ones were my all time favourite.
