I don't consider those brands fading. Tommy Hilfiger is actually showing growth at PVH and is one of their best performing brands alongside Calvin Klein. I would probably say that one of PVH's weakest brands currently is ARROW. They seem to be making a comeback. As for Lacoste, you can still find their boutiques in many major airports worldwide.
Must be local thing. I work downtown Seattle and I have seen LaCoste maybe once in years. Worn by someone. And I have not seen single Tommy H in LONG time. And they used to be about on everyone.
Lacoste is alive and well and the company bought it back from Izod and it is very healthy.
I do not understand this brand at all. My son's half sister sold it for a while so I bought a skirt from them but never understood the leggings. Too thick to wear in South Florida.
Lularoe leggings are supposed to be wonderful. From my sister in Virginia who says they're soft and just right. Not for summer, so you probably wouldn't want them in South Florida.
As for Izod and LaCoste, what I understand is that Izod is the cheap brand while LaCoste is the quality brand. For a while it was Izod-LaCoste.
Since the question is what is fading in popularity, I would say any brand that becomes prolific in TJ Maxx. Once considered “high end”, when brands like Michael Kors, Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade, et al, can be found en mass there, I think their star has faded. My observation anyhow.
Ivanka's. I've seen her stuff in super clearance at TJMax. And if shes not bankrupt yet I hope she will soon be.
