With my favorite brand, I have been seeing a lot of flannel in their fall/winter collection compared to last year. I wonder, is flannel in for Fall/Winter 2018? I have yet to check other brands, but has anyone noticed a proliferation of flannel this fall/winter?

Flannel is always in, if you ask me. Warm, warm, warm....and natural if made with all cotton. Does it matter really, if it's "in" or not? It's a great fall/winter fabric.

All my at-home clothing in winter is flannel. I might wear flannel pjs around the house all day...and then there's the ever present flannel shirt that's been around forever.

in most regions, flannel is in every fall/winter. I don't notice any more or less this year. But any brands I buy from, including a lot of fashion forward brands almost always have flannel offerings in their fall/winter collections. I cannot remember a year that more traditional men's clothing companies of any size didn't have flannel featured.

There is no "in" or "out" with flannel. It's like L. L. Bean boots...it will always BE.

Flannel is not really too susceptible to trends, though some colors, checks, or plaids can tend to have waves of popularity. It's a practical fabric in regions of the US where it gets cold, so while it may be a trend to see more of it in a warmer area, it's not that different from year to year in core flannel markets.

Flannel is like one of the basic food groups; fashion has nothing to do with it at all.
