Bought a full-length, trench style waterproof trench coat (raincoat) from Eddie Bauer with quilted insulation in it for about $50. This coat normally retails for about $200. This isn't one of those flimsy rain jackets that you pack into a suitcase. It's a substantial full length coat that can be worn in cold, rainy weather. It's absolutely gorgeous and has all the features I wanted. I think it was deeply discounted due to the color and size.

You beat me to it! Wonder if OP got tired of the snarky comments. Anyway, I work in arctic Alaska and live in Texas and I have a winter trip coming up. I needed winter gear and didn't want to spend a bundle. Winter stuff is so expensive! I got last year's $750 coat for $250, $100 ski pants for $50, and $130 snow boots for $45. All items were new. They were just last season's model on a different website. Savvy shopping!

Last month I was looking for a new pair of basic, straight leg jeans for everyday wear. I have a pair of Lee jeans that fit well and wanted the same style. I went to Kohl's and found 2 pairs of the same style on clearance for $14 each. When I checked out they were further marked down 50% so were $7/pair. I had an extra discount coupon that day so they ended up being about $6/pair. Normally, without a sale, they retail for $45-$50.

Don't know if it's the same one I received last year, but I love it. I love being able to add or remove the insulating layer so I can wear it throughout the year. I've also found that it's warm enough to wear except on the very coldest days during the winter.

I got a brand new pair of Brooks Glycerin 15 running shoes at Salvation Army for $3 (they were having a sale and my daughter gets 10% more off because she works there). They are nice shoes even though I cannot run anymore.

You are the winner for the best shopper of the day.

I think the last thing was at the JJill Outlet. 3 sale tops with an additional 40% off. So it was about $70. Not exactly a steal, but not bad, since they were each originally $89. or more.

Just received two pair of my four pair of Sanita mule clogs. Holy cow they are brand new in the box never been worn. They are so pretty and nice.

THIS is why I am a alternative resource shopper (aka thrift/ebay)!

Why does anyone need that many slippers? It could be argued that you wasted the money.
