I do my best to buy cruelty free products.
Any cosmetic sold in China will be tested on animals (by a lab in china) because it's the law there I believe.

Many can claim they are cruelty free because they didn't develop (and need to test) the product formulas themselves. They either bought, leased, or copied formulas that already existed from companies that developed them years before. Doesn't mean the formulas were never tested on animals.

So why don't you and other peta people volunteer to have the products tested on yourselves?

I don't even like PETA--or its tactics--but this is nuts.

That's what Estee Lauder wrote back to me (I think it was Estee anyway). Along the lines of . . well we DON'T want to test and we DON'T test in the US but we have to in some foreign countries.

At one time I had a list of cruelty-free companies and I hope it's actually correct.

Lame.

In this day and age - testing on animals or humans really isn't necessary - there are other options.
