When ever you see someone with messed up feet its always a result of bad footwear, you don't have to be a foot DR anyone can see the deformities are from the shoes they choose.

I’d like to see the condition of the feet on the right without the shoes on.

Oh, I totally agree that wearing pointy high heels can give you bunions!

But believe, me some of us have messed up feet naturally.

Unfortunately, in some offices women have to dress “professionaly,” which is defined in part (by the males in charge) as wearing high heels. Of course, most female celebrities who walk red carpets as they promote their projects, do wear those sexy, but painful high heels. I hope that eventually women rebel against this expectation.

Well those are likely different feet.

I’d like to see those feet in the X-ray not in shoes.

I agree that high heels/tight pointy shoes can lead to bunions, but I never wore high heels or tight shoes in my life and I still became the not-so-proud owner of a pair of bunions due to genetics and a tendency towards pronation.

The worst feet are those of ballet dancers. Can't be easy for them to walk after years of dancing. Major deformities and pain.

Well because when you are in your late teens and early 20's what are you thinking about? lol. now I know everyone here will swear that they were mature young adults that never did any thing for fashion or trends but I'll totally admit. when I was in my early 20's, I was single, living in NYC and working. I was going out and fashion was a big part of my life.

lol, I wore 3 inch heels every day. lol, I still have a few pairs that I can't wear anymore but are so dang pretty.

Hello girls. I have bunions, with an upcoming operation to prove it, and you do not get bunions from shoes. You get bunions from bad ancestors. I wore heels to work in the 1980s and they were perfectly comfortable. If your shoes are comfortable, then your feet are happy.

Now, at 70, I have bunions I cannot ignore, because they get inflamed and affect my ability to walk.

I do know that some bunions have a genetic cause. But some are at least exacerbated by toe squeezing shoes.

There are many ways to have bad feet. High heels do not help.

Gentlearts, may you have an uneventful and successful surgery.

I had my first pair of high heels when I was 14. At the time, the toes weren't pointy but rounded. During the years, I wore high heels to work every day. Gradually, the styles changed to pointy toes. Nobody can cram their feet into the points so the shoes are by default slightly longer. I was never uncomfortable wearing them.

Eventually, the style changed to rounded toes cut very low so there was toe décolletage, which was ridiculously ugly.

I cannot imagine trying to walk in the current style. The height of the heel is such that the wearer is actually walking on the toes instead of the ball of the foot.

I no longer wear anything higher than an inch or inch and a half, and then only when really formal. I don't have bunions, corns, calluses or any other deformity of the pedal extremities.

You wear what you like, I'll wear what I like, nobody fish in the middle.
