It's hard to peg me. I am in my early 50s. Just yesterday someone guessed I was 30 which was quite flattering. Then again I go to places and they ask me if I get the senior discount (at first I was offended, now I jump at it). In general younger people think I am younger and older people think I am older.

How big headed are people who even go near asking what age others think they are... and who cares..

POZZO: (To Vladimir.) What age are you, if it's not a rude question? (Silence.) Sixty? Seventy? (To Estragon.) What age would you say he was?
ESTRAGON:Eleven.

POZZO:I am impertinent.

most of us look our age, but some people don't try to look their best and others make self-care a high priority. people who ask us to guess their age are fishing for compliments. they may be very well maintained, but they are deluded if they think they look younger.

being overweight and out of shape ages people the most followed by being stuck in a fashion rut...like holding onto 1980s hair and clothing styles.

Yeah, tell them 95 and see how that makes them feel !

I just love it when people volunteer how old they think I am, without me asking. Particularly when they guess older than I actually am--without me raising the topic. Lovely. "You must be in your late 50s" when I'm younger.

I was out to a group lunch and the woman sitting next to me said she was pushing 80. I looked at her and told her she didn't look beyond 65. Seriously, she looked that good and moved around like a much younger woman. Hell I think she looked younger than me and I am only 63.

I can't imagine a more thoughtless thing to do to someone. You put them in an untenable position of having to either guess low and lie or act all surprised when they tell you. I hate telling people my age. I hate when they ask. I think that is rude, too.
