I guess people will buy these things, or else they wouldn't be selling it.

The dumb thing is, you could buy a new, clean pair of similar Gucci's and stain them on your own for much cheaper.

Just when we found out avocado sneakers are a thing, Gucci drops a pair of men's sneakers that all look like they have been worn and ran through a few dirt roads. What are the odds?!

The luxury retailer's Screener leather sneaker costs $870 and comes in three different styles featuring the brand's classic red and green stripe.

We've lost our minds.

Look at this. Worn out sneakers, $530, held together with DUCT TAPE!!

Last year I was shopping for sweaters and ran across a line of sweaters with big holes in them selling for about 60 bucks.

It seems to me that either:

1. You should buy beautiful, new clothing and shoes and pay a reasonable price for that

OR

2. If for some reason you prefer the look of worn out clothing and shoes, go to Salvation Army and get them for almost nothing.

Most of their sneakers are hideous, these are actually one of their better looking ones.

Ooo... You can get them with crystals for $1600!

Where I grew up, when you showed up with new basketball shoes, it was a given that the guys would step all over them. Didn't cost a dime.

Companies like Gucci release "shocking" products often to get some PR. Remember the giant gold paperclip that was like $1,000? No one buys that junk but it gets them in the news.

Have you destroyed your investment if you toss them in the wash when they start to stink?

I think that's Tiffany & Co. They have a whole bunch of gems.

$1,650 for a ten-piece knock off lego set.
$35,000 for a watering can.
$275,000 for a greenhouse (not an actual one, just a model)
$975 for a folding chair (not an actual chair, doll furniture)
$1,000 for a tin can.

There will always be suckers. Either that or those sorts of buyers never set foot outdoors long enough to get them dirty on their own.

Say, THAT'S an idea! I'd be happy to custom make them complete with bona fide Alaskan panache. I could even offer seasons...moose poop in winter, bear poop in spring, squashed mosquitos in summer, and salmon guts in autumn. Multi-sensory effects free of charge.
