Yuck, as a guy especially with hairy legs that sweat under jeans, absolutely no way I can get away with just the rinse water 'cleaning' my legs.

A simple Twitter poll has caused a huge divide online. On Thursday, writer and editor Conor Arpwel asked: "Do you wash your legs when you take a shower?" More than 600,000 people responded, with 80 per cent currently saying yes, they do (the poll is still on-going).

I generally just do 1 wipe over with my hands; I don't scrub or anything. My legs don't get dirty.

I don't always wash legs every shower-- mainly because my skin is so dry it reacts badly and I've heard it's not the best for dry skin. That being said, I certainly wash every other part of my body and lots of soapy water does run down my legs, and I'll wash them if I've been sweaty and just double up on lotion.

Of course, I'm a woman who shaves her legs every so often, so not a lot is getting trapped there, either

Got to be the silliest question asked here today. Why is it anyone's business what others do in their own showers? If their skin is healthy it must be enough. There was an equally silly question about scrubbing feet in the shower a while back too. What is "normal" anyway?

Yes, I wash my legs unless I'm shaving them which is usually every other day. Once a week they get the body scrub treatment and I always moisturize as soon as I get out of the shower when my skin is still a little damp.

But you had to comment. lol

I don't really spend much time washing my legs, per se. But I shave them in the warm months, and they get moisterurizer from time to time.

OMG. I guess I have just always assumed that when people take a shower, that they thoroughly scrub their entire body. And, if they don't, I prefer to not know about it.

I always assume people will do what ever it's necessary to get themselves clean -- if they need to scrub, then scrub; if not, then hopefully they're making the right decision for humanity's sake lol.

I wash my legs in the shower out of habit, but unless I've been working in the yard wearing shorts, they're usually not dirty and it would probably be fine to just let water and soap from other parts of my body run over them.
