I always found their clothes to be rather matronly and I don't think I've ever purchased anything from them. I won't miss them.

I visited when I was desperate. There is a store convenient to me. But I consider their clothes to be poor quality.

But it is sad to think a national retailer cannot make it in this current economy.

I still have items I purchased from Dress Barn 18 years ago, and they are still wearable. Thank goodness they are classics that don't look dated. I never found Dress Barb to sell "throw away clothes", unless their quality went down over the past 18 years.

Oh trust me, they look dated. I worked there 20-ish years ago. They were dated then, they’re still dated now.

All their stores here have rebranded as Roz & Ali. I don't typically have a need for business attire, but a little over a year ago, I needed a suit for interviewing for graduate internships, so I put one together there out of decently priced separates. It was reasonably priced, which was nice, given that internships don't really justify spending a ton on attire. Can't really speak to the qualilty or how it will hold up, given that I've worn the items maybe three times in the past year-ish.

I did go by a Roz & Ali store yesterday, and it appeared to be open and featured no "going out of business" signage at this point.

How rude. I choose classic designs so I don't have to keep buying clothes every season. I hardly see how silk shells in soft solid colors look dated.
