At an age approaching the good retirement years, Tommy bahama may also be a brand to look at. Get em on sale.
I don't like the wimpy collar on Land's End ****s. Partly that's that I have a walrus neck, so walrus neck + dainty little collars just, to me, look odd. Okay for more of a casual button down but I wouldn't wear them as a dress shirt.

I tried Dillard’s gold label for the first time last year. Really like them. Look great, soft hold up well. Their clearance centers have them for $25 otherwise $75 (don’t pay that).

I started this thread and I actually just bought a light blue Roundtree and Yorke gold label. It fits well and has the look and feel that I was looking for. I was hoping to find it online in several other colors but all I could find besides the blue was a white and I already have a white dress shirt I am happy with. I don't know where a clearance center is around here but I paid $49.50 in the store.

I appreciate all the replies and I will be checking out many of the suggestions that have been made.
