Favorite summer outfits

I really like wearing maxi dresses.

I've been buying swimsuit cover up's and wearing with a tee and leggings, really cool and comfortable.

Kohl's carries the Chap's line - Really like the summer clothes. Chap's is good quality, not cheap flimsy fabric that I find with other lines.

Always have a hat.

I've been noticing the swimsuit coverups, that look like they'd make great tunics!

I agree about maxi dresses, too: sleeveless. I like some of the Indonesian batik ones. I also like skorts with tops in a matching color. My new summer item is a pair of pale aqua ankle jeans from Land's End (they were 50% off), with embroidery around the hem. Good to coordinate with tunics.

Lightweight interlock polo shirts, 60/40 cotton/poly pique polo shirts, relaxed soft touch T-shirts, and 9.5" chino shorts, all preferably in a nice shade of light pink (not extremely light, but a moderately light shade with a slight hint of purple).

Also, I just remembered that I posted a thread on this same topic in January, but in my own thread I mentioned my casual shirts (a pink oxford with green pelican print, and a pink natural stretch poplin with blue plaid) in addition to the polos.

Jazz, you need to contrast the pink polo with some lavender shorts, or visa versa. Yum! Great combo!

I'm not sure if pink and lavender is a good combo. I typically pair them with either some light blue chino shorts, or some blue denim shorts. My preferred chino shorts aren't made in lavender, and pink and lavender might be too close in color unless the pink is an orange-toned pink (my preferred pink shade is a light purple-toned pink). I do have a lilac polo, but I don't think they would pair well with my pink chino shorts. A darker purple polo might be a better match. So far I have paired my pink chino shorts with blue polos and T-shirts, as well as a light green T-shirt (green is the opposite of pink).

This year, I'm favoring thin cotton midi length boho skirts with sleeveless tops.
Last year, it was Hawaiian print capris.

I had a lace swimsuit coverup that made a great tunic, but adding a cami underneath made it Autumn or winter weight...in Hawaii, at least.

^^the lace swimsuit coverup sounds pretty. Just saw some crinkly cotton/lace cover up.

Really like the Hawaiian print capri's. Its nice to see so many patterns now.

I'm a fan of casual and 100% cotton everything. Cotton shorts, comfortable cotton T-shirt and leather sandals is what I like to wear. Wish I lived someplace warm enough to wear that year round.

If going out to dinner or something, I will put on NICE cotton shorts/capris, a nice sleeveless polyester or linen or silk top and still leather sandals.
