Not a fan personally, they remind me of talons. However to each their own.

I think they are horrendous, as does my husband. Creepy IMO.

Even creepier is the new curly eyelash trend.

That's not an actual trend. Just an Instagrammer looking for attention.

Eh, to each his or her own. I don’t care for them either.

I like my nails short and square, even when I have color on them. I have short, fat fingers and used to feel that long nails made them look thinner and prettier. But short and stubby is short and stubby. So now I own it.

Ita...I have always hated pointy nails...it doesn't look very *classy* IMO. I can't have real long nails because of my work....I am always in gloves, but I have medium length oval nails.

For those who have them do you employ a Groom of the Stool? All the dirt and other nastiness that gets under those things yuk!

My friend and I call them Morticia Nails from the Adams family character.

Prefer long slender nails on a lady. Refined.

For years I was a nail biter. So it brings joy to now have almond shaped long nails ,lightly polished.

Me, too. That's how I usually get my nails done - both finger and toe nails. I like the natural look the best, but sometimes I'll get a red polish or something bright colored. I'd never get blue, green, yellow or anything like that. I think it looks fine on other people, but those colors just aren't for me. I do like a bit of glitter from time to time.

As far as the shape of the nail - I go for the look in the link you shared. I would never get sharp pointy ones or squared off ones. One nail tech that I went to called them "squovals" for slightly squared off oval shape. I think that looks the most natural, which is the look I go for.

And gives me those crescent-shaped cuts you mentioned. Sometimes the pain incorporates into my dream until I wake up and realize that I'm doing it to myself!

It always makes me cringe when people handling babies or pets have really long nails. There are often sudden movements involved in both cases, and it would be easy to hurt them. These pointy ones should be out of the question entirely. lol I also think they're hideous, but to each their own, as usual.
I smiled when I read about the crescent-shaped cuts. I thought I was the only one!

I was thinking that this style of nails could be very practical in some cases. If you work or live in a shady area or have to spend time in that type of area or even just for standard safety, those nails would make awesome self defense weapons. One hard straight handed shove to the throat or eyes and the attacker is down and out.
