A bit of a grim topic, but say tomorrow you kicked the bucket, what would happen in regards to your clothes/purses/shoes/makeup etc.?

Dear daughters would go through and select the things they wanted, as for the rest it would be donated and/or discarded.

Sad but true.

Clothes, shoes and purses - donate. Makeup - trash.

I just hope that someone gets rid of it quick. When my first father-in-law passed away, my MIL was unable to part with anything. She remarried a couple years later and new husband had to move out #1s shaving things and clothes before he moved in.

^Same.

I'd be far more worried about more specialized things like musical instruments, art supplies, etc.

your specialized musical instruments are someone else's collectible firearms.
essentially, those who remain are usually those who have no interest in either.

Make will (should) go in the trash.

Clothes will be donated (I don't wear the same size as my sister or niece).

They'll go through the purses and jewelry, take what they want, and donate/sell the rest. Only specific bequest is that my grandmother's diamond ring will go to my niece.

What about the big box of toys in your clothes drawers?

I'm taking all of my jewelry and my collections of unset precious gems and beautiful mineral specimens with me to heaven to distribute to the angels as a bribe in return for special favours.

Everything else that's in good usable condition will most likely be donated to Good Will stores and stuff that's not will be trashed.

Okay, actually I don't know and I don't care what will be happening to any of the clothes and other stuff. It doesn't matter to me since it's all just biodegradable 'stuff' that's all inevitably going to eventually end up in the trash some day anyway, sooner or later.

But seriously I WILL be taking all my precious treasure troves that came from Mother Earth with me back to the bosom of Mother Earth. Every piece of jewelry, every single pearl and gemstone and crystal and collectible mineral specimen and on down to the tiniest scraps of gold and silver will be getting scattered with my ashes into a very special and practically bottomless lake nearby.

.

My grandmother said "who cares, I will be dead, so it's not my problem".
