God, I love CD. I ask about shoes and get advice on TSA Precheck instead I have been seriously considering it. The main reason I haven't gotten it yet is because only a small minority of my flights involve going through security. The rest are tiny commuter flights where neither bags nor people are screened.
I agree with those saying PreCheck, but if you're an infrequent traveler, please don't (speaking in general, not necessarily directed at the OP). It's getting frustrating that the PreCheck line is getting slowed down by increasing numbers of people who clearly don't fly often and have no clue what they're doing. This past Saturday, I had to stop some guy who was pulling his laptop out of his bag.

If you rarely have to go through security, why is removing your shoes such a problem when flying?
I've worn Naturalizer shoes with an elastic band for years. Easy on & off, and they stay on my narrow feet better than loafers. Look through their mary jane collection and you'll find some styles in leather and a new canvas style of flats with comfortable soles.
I fly a lot for my job and am going on another trip late next week. I've decided I'm sick to death of untying and retying tennis shoes and boots for security and the plane and want to get slip-on loafers. I'm a woman who wears size 7 normally and comfort is becoming a factor due to middle age. But I don't want hideously ugly either. Does anyone have suggestions on brand/style? I like trying them on in store because my shoes run narrow at times. I sometimes get kid's shoes due to the narrow thing as well, so kid's suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
If you’re wearing tennis shoes, what about slip on Vans or Sketchers? Or Vionics?

2. Try out some of the shoes
3. Buy the pair that you like.
