Geeshh it's dental floss wear. No more and certainly alot less.
How is it not a thong?. Cuz..it is.

I'm glad someone doesn't care what I think when they wear that git up. I feel free then to express my discord for their choices. Cool by me .

So tired of let it all hang out. Put it away, show and tell was in kindergarten. Leave it there.

I kept seeing those on designers' websites the last couple of years; I think they're still around for this summer, too. That's creepy. AFAIK, only American designers make women's bathing suit bottoms that way. Brazil has been into string bikinis for ages, and Europe tends to follow Brazil (if they wear bathing suits at all), but American designs tend to be influenced by porn.
People complained about thong bikinis back when they came out too. There are nude & topless beaches in Brazil....& Europe....but here we have people starting threads ....about "modesty" or calling it porn. We shouldn't strut in front of potential in-laws in one....but ita Ruth the US has more inhibitions.

Ha ha. This reminds me of Cher's provocative outfits back in her younger times. She said in an interview that she had team of designers doing only one thing - how to legally show as much skin as possible on the stage.

Nothing ever changes.

I just want something to fit. I love to swim but rarely do because no swimsuit has ever looked good on my body type. Being extremely short and stocky is the worst body that anyone can have and I've got it. The "high-thigh" cut won't make me any more pleasing to the eye or help the fact that I am akwardly broad on top and shapelessly thin on bottom. More power to those with well-proportioned bodies. You can wear just about whatever you want and showing some skin won't be offensive to most.

I'm no prude, but please, do we need to see so much skin in public? Wearing a bathing suit doesn't mean you have to be practically naked, yuck.

Maybe I'm messed up and I should be outraged. But I'm not. That's kind of sexy, I'll take it. My fear though, it won't be women that look like her wearing them. In that case, I'm on the fence.

I guess it depends who wears it.

"Instagram influencer" is the bachelor level and high cut bikini expert is like moving on to your master's degree. PhD is a stint on The Bachelor/ette.

Since I've already said I wasn't enjoying it why assume I was trying to follow her? Doesn't make much sense.

You must know a lot of people who enjoy irritating themselves.

I only think this looks good with skinny/petite women. Full figured or fat? No.

"According to style and beauty expert, Denise Caldwell, while high-cut styles gives the body an elongated appearance, there is concern over glamorizing another part, in this case, “thigh brow” — the soft crease of flesh between the crotch and hips when women kneel or bend forward. “Celebrities have teams to accentuate their choice body parts,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “Sometimes revealing styles can pressure women to obtain the ‘bikini body’ style of the moment.”

What now?
Lol, someone needs to explain to these "experts" that this high cut doesn't give the BODY an elongated appearance, but specifically to LEGS.
In particular, it intends to serve well women with lower hips and fuller thighs ( not to mention shorter legs.)
It becomes quite obvious, looking at someone like Jennifer Lopez, sporting this cut in Bazaar, since she needs all the help she can get with it, ditto Kardashian. All of them.
