"Experts raise concern"????

Really???

It takes an expert to say that some women don't look good in that kind of bathing suit? Really?

Well, the ones that don't look good but want to wear it, will do so anyway.

All you have to do is go to any beach in summer to observe that there are a lot of people showing things that maybe ought not to be shown. I don't think anyone needs an "expert" to explain that.

Lol that was supposed to be those pasties. Big fingers little screen and autocorrect made a pastor out of me.

Who are all these experts?

Personally, if I'm going to go in the water and actually swim, I'll wear a one piece. Much more comfortable. But Ido wonder, when was the last time you heard such a commotion about men's swim trunks? You know, the ones that look like little codpieces. I never heard anyone talking about modesty then.

Interesting, isn't it?

Nothin' but truth there! It's painful to open your eyes at the beach these days.

LOL! I never even knew what that word meant...and pretty sure I've never seen one depicted in historical images. I guess the 16th century fashion must have passed me by somehow.

FWIW, men here rarely, if ever, wear such swim suits. You just don't see them on the beaches (thankfully!). But not much you can do about the massive bellies that are so common now.

It's another form of protest.
Here's another good one!

I'm no prude, but please, do we need to see so much skin in public? Wearing a bathing suit doesn't mean you have to be practically naked, yuck.
I guess you don't read celebrity news. Thanks to Kim Kardashian, the thong and V-string are not acceptable bikini bottoms. I never thought it would come to this. But so far, it seems to be confined to women who love to post on Instagram. I've been to water parks this summer with plenty of average people there, and only saw 1 girl wearing the thong.

Is this a rhetorical question or sarcasm? People who like fashion and who've noticed or studied fashion trends over the decades.
