Of all the ways you can carry it, I always cringe when I see women carrying it like that, just looks very old ladyish to me.

I don't have a problem with it.

I don't like to carry those types of bags. Either I want to be able to put it on my shoulder or wear it cross body. But it doesn't bother me to see other women carry their short handled bags that way.

I can't say that I have ever seen it in person, just on old movies or TV. But since everything that goes around comes around, I would not be at all surprised to hear it's the newest thing trending in future.

Perhaps you just don't realize what is in her purse.

You actually pay attention to how other people carry purses?

Well, probably some purses are supposed to be carried that way. There's the shoulder strap type with a longer strap, goes over the shoulder. Wouldn't work real well hanging off an elbow.

There's the clutch purse like Kate Middleton is frequently seen carrying. However, no handle there.

So, the small handle type purse is about the only one which could realistically be hung off the elbow and function really well. Does it matter if it hangs from a hand or over by the elbow? If anything it seem so 50-ish. Needs a matching hat and gloves, don'tcha think? Oh, yeah, matching shoes, too.

A. I have never noticed where people carry their handbags.
B Now that you mention it, If the straps are short and the women larger there are few options as it does not fit over the shoulder and under her arm.
