Have you ever taken a mud bath? Did your skin and hair come out softer than before?

I mostly take mud baths just for fun. I'll go to a beach situated on an estuary (shallow lagoon) at low tide. I'll change into my swimsuit and wallow around in knee-deep mudflats, and let it dry for 15 minutes afterwards, then swim around in the water to rinse everything off.

I've only taken mud baths at the mudflats (it's free, unlike at some spa), but I've heard that in Colombia, Russia, and Malaysia, there's entire volcanoes filled with thick, lukewarm mud that tourists flock to. It's so dense that it's virtually impossible to drown in the mud.
