Remember those polyester pants from the 70's? At one time, those were "In". Don't get me started on Nehru jackets. I still say that Designers get their ideas from high school girls, they would just never admit it. I'm going to go watch some Gilligan's Island reruns, I hear it's coming back in vogue.
You seem as much as, if not more so, hung up on fashion as any of us. Except we enjoy it.

So far I gather the average age of the people discussing "fashion" here is about 65!

They started being all over Dallas about a year or two ago, and they have been the trend in Europe a little longer than that. Good news for me though as I can get my mid-low cut waist bootcut at a cheap price because no one wants them. I try to follow trends when they look good on me, but this just doesn't!

I think this is a less extreme version of a relaxed jean. To me, it resembles grandma jeans. I think with the fashion of extremely tight jeans so pervasive, fashion pendulum will swing back. I doubt the the change will be immediate, but it inevitably happens.

But there is a lot of puff and nonsense written about fashion.

I’m going to hang onto my skinny jeans....the baggiest I do is boyfriend jeans. The relaxed stuff makes me cringe....unless it’s on an older person & it’s for comfort, but for fashion....no.

Hope so. LOL

I like bell bottoms and boot cuts. All my jeans are one or the other. Why? Because I like them.

WTH are "Boyfriend jeans"? I looked 'em up and all I saw were rolled up ankle-length? What defines them?
