I mean, when I'm attending a party at someone's home, I don't dress like I'm going to the club. Use your best judgement about the appropriateness of the clothing based on the event, because theoretically any clothes you buy will already be an expression of who you are.
I wouldn’t be dressing like I’m going to the club...it’s formal....ty...

I always appreciate when friends wives and girlfriends show up to parties at my house looking good and wearing slightly revealing clothing . I'm not spending money and throwing a party just to have every woman show up looking like little house on the prairie.

Personally, I would opt for a less revealing dress because (A) boss is boss no matter what, and (B) I like men to wonder what is underneath that dress .

Why have you not met them before? If you’ve never met these friends? Go for classy. First impressions and all...unless you already have your mind made up, which seems apparent.

I’ve met lots of my Bf’s other friends...& a couple of his partners when I went to meet him for lunch one time. I’ve never met the one senior partner who is having the party tho.......

I just want to fit in....I’m not trying to stand out for too much or too little skin....

I definitely want to be myself too....but it’s the first time I am meeting his work friends.........so I’m torn....
