Ok. So I really want to wear those new wide belts that look so cute on every skinny girl I see wearing them.

My question is where on the "waist" do you wear them. I have seen some that look to be just below the boob line and some others are way low. I know some belts that are loose, I guess, are worn low slung.
But I am talking about those wide ones you wear with a tighter fitting top.
My mom says you should wear those belts at your natural waistline, which is about 2 inches above your belly button. (She is a seamstress, hence the detail in the waist area). How do you wear your belts?

I don't exactly have a flat tummy (working on it ) so I don't want to look like SANTA wearing a belt.

In honesty, I've never liked the looks of those belts on anyone who wasn't 100% trim.

But yes, you are supposed to wear them at the natural waistline. But if the belt doesn't look good there.... then don't. I have also seen girls wearing the larger belts at their hips at an angle. Again, this really looks best on skinnier people.

I know I don't look good in them.

Wear it where it feels good, looks good, and overall makes you feel good. Don't just wear one because it's fashionable.

I am not exactly overweight, most people comment on how thin I am, but I see myself as fat. Don't we all

Black & white? Fat & thin? There are SO many different body types.
I LOVE my low slung thick belt & I am not skinny.
I have a small waist, big hips, big thighs, but long legs & everyone loves my many belts & how I wear them. I don't wear a belt under my boobline bc it accents how wide my hips are.
Again, it is all on how YOU think it looks.
The comment on thinking it looks good on skinny people only is purely an opinion.
ANYONE can wear these belts, it's all on where it is placed & how it accents your features.

I wear them at my natural waistline. It makes me look more proportionate. I doubt you will look like a santa wearing a belt. I have seen women of all sizes pull of this look. It is about finding the right width and color.

I've seen the large belt look for more than 2 years - especially slung at the hips. And in honesty, I've never cared for what's "in" or "out"... I more or less wear clothes in an attempt to flatter my body type.

And sometimes, I'll wear outfits that don't fit my body type just to hide my figure from my perverted co-workers.

Depends on the belt to dtermine where you put it. Belts are so much fun!

Wear it as you feel comfortable.

That's the best to flatter your body type as "Kuharai" said.

I'm not much of a belt person myself. I kind of think of them as a little too uncomfortable, after wearing them for a while during the day. But those wide ones are kind of cute. I don't know. Everyone is different.
