I've seen guys rock a lavender shirt with a dark purple suit and plaid or striped purple tie! There's nothing wrong with lavender for guys. Nor light blue or light green, or any pastel color.

As a guy, I wouldn't ever be caught in pastels, and I have not seen guys in those colors here on the west coast. I remember years ago seeing a couple of guys wearing pastel colors and wondering what was with them. Turned out they were from Ohio, so maybe it's a regional thing.
For some reason, I just associate pastels with babies and children.
