Hmmmmm.......surgery sounds a bit drastic. I personally would try a couple other avenues first before going the surgery route. You mentioned you want to lose a little weight, maybe that will help. I agree with other posters who mentioned finding clothes that fit well and enlisting in a good tailor. Do you ever watch "What not to Wear?" It shows you what pieces of clothing look good on certain body types. As mentioned before, if you are experiencing back problems, that's one thing but I think you should first try to work with what you have. Having a bigger chest is sexy-embrace it! You mentioned your husband is starting to notice other men gauwking....is your husband the jealous type and that's what's bothering you? Maybe you can work through some of those emotions. Really, really think it through...as a health care worker, surgery is not something to be taken lightly and there are risks involved. Before you "go under the knife", make sure you find a very reputable surgeon.
Without embarrassing myself or other readers.....I was a "B" cup my whole life until I had kids. Now I'm a "D" cup and I have to say my hubbie seems to really like it. We've been together since we were 19 and he was never a "boob" man.....but now he is......so I guess I can't imagine wanting to go back to being a "B" cup. I do agree, though, the clothes right now are designed for smaller chest sizes. |

How did you feel about the size of your breasts before you bloomed? Did you feel attractive and sexy or did you wish they were bigger? I think you need to look deep inside yourself and figure out if you would feel attractive if your breasts received NO attention. It might seem great because the current level of attention is so intense and uncomfortable. A small B is small. At that size your breasts would either be a non issue or a negative since larger breasts are considered sexy and womanly.
I personally don't care at all about my breasts, for me the smaller the better because I hate bras and the bouncing bugs me. I feel attractive because I feel my face is very pretty, I like being thin, and I believe my intelligence and sense of humor are my most attractive features. Obviously many women have implants because they hate their small or average size breasts. Those women place some of their attractiveness on their breasts, if this could be the case for you, the C range might be better for you. Some women need long hair to feel attractive, we all value different things. It's important you figure this out since unlike a hair cut surgery is permanent. It can be hard to find flattering clothes for a small breasted women also. I think you need to look deep inside yourself and try to take your husband out of the equation as you look into yourself. You can bring him back in once you have decided what would make you the most happy. I wish you the best in whatever you decide. |

I would say talk to your doctor and see what the different cup sizes would look on you and see what you like better. It is you body and you need to do what is right for you. I was a small B and then as I put weight on I became a small C and I feel more proportionate to my frame. I say go for the small B cause you never know how much they may grow with any weight you may put on.

I had breast reduction surgery about 5 years ago. Best thing I ever did. I was always big chested, but after having my 2 kids and nursing, watch out! For me it was more because of back pain and bra straps cutting into my shoulders. It was an outpatient procedure. The most difficult part was the recovery. I wasn't supposed to lift my arms at all for the first 2 weeks, plus I couldn't get the sutures wet. That meant no showers, just sitz baths. My hubby had to wash my hair over the sink. It took a solid 6 weeks for life to return to a somewhat normal state. Still, clothes fit so much better now and I feel a lot lighter, so to speak. I'm glad I did it, but just make sure you're prepared for the recovery time. Hope this helps!

Imagine being a S in the waist and an XL for the girls. If I wear something to fit my waist, my boobs are mushed and are very uncomfortable. If I fit the girls, I'm wearing a tent. Very very very very few shirts fit both avenues.
I'd love to be down to a "D" cup. I seriously would love it. Though, I've never had a problem with my back hurting. I guess that is something to be grateful for...

And I'd wager that at least half of women are wearing bras that are not proper fitting. Some of us just get WAAAY too sick and tired of trying to find the one bra in the entire lingerie section that will fit right - and we just buy whatever works. Personally, I'm really ashamed of my size. I wouldn't wish these things on anybody. I feel awkward going out to the beach in even a bathing suit because they are so painfully obvious. Too many times I've seen the "perfect bikini" only to find that there's too much spillage. A medium sized chest is best. Too small isn't good, nor is being too large. A "C" cup is like the best size. Oh, and for interest's sake, there are only two companies I know of that make bras in my size. One retails for $90 and the other for $60-ish. VS doesn't even have the right size.

I'm large chested, and would prefer to have less. The only benefit of my "generous" breasts is that they protrude further than my gut.
And, yes, I'm definitely wearing ill-fitting bras. Has anyone here actually gone to JC Penney or Macy's when they have the bra-fitting events? What are your thoughts? |
