I absolutely LOVE the retro-rockabilly look on women. My favorite outfit would be a red & white gingham checked sleeveless shirt with tight pants, heels, and of course layers of thick red lipstick, red painted nails, and lots and lots of makeup and perfume. A woman who looks like this would just make me completely weak!

I prefer the way they looked in the fifties.
Todays rockabilly is much trashier with tattoos and stuff.

I love it Call me trashy, but I love gals who have lots of tattoos, high heels red lips and the attitude to match! Of course.... I am one of those gals so maybe that's why...

I used to dress and look like Bettie Page when I lived in Phoenix. I used to dye my hair jet black and have the bangs too. I used to dress those kind of clothes too. But they are really hard to find here in Prescott, so I changed my style since.
But when I move to Florida, I'm definitely going back to that style again. You better believe it. I love that 50's, rockabilly, Bettie Page look. For Sure!!

Count me in. I loved the era. Lived it. So feminine. I collect vintage clothing. Loved ballerina flats, and ankle straps, too. One of the Original American Bandstand girls lives out here. Justine. Life is cool in the desert. We are near Rte 66. Always time for a cherry smash, and a skirt that shows off our ruffled nylon undies when we twirl. Hey Baby ! Put a quarter in the juke box, and dance with daddy !

Where do you find the Japanese style parasols?
I got some cheapie ones at a local festival but I want the real deal, like I remember my mom bringing home from Japan ages ago. I am trying to find a stylish way to keep the *#^$&$ scorching Tx sun off of me, and hats don't work well for me at all.
And PurpleLove, I am with you. One of these days I'll buy a dress from DaddyO's!! Probably the "Shop Girl" or "Carina". Maybe as a graduation gift to myself... ?
I like this website also; a little more of what I have NOT seen on every other site, and prices are a little lower in some cases.
Retro Clothing Retro Dresses and Vintage Style Clothing Featuring Stop Staring Vintage Reproduction Swing Dresses
also here:

I really really love the "Curves Ahead" dress (I like how they "name" their stuff, it's cute):

It's hit or miss.
Oh, I almost forgot one more that I have bookmarked. It can take some "digging" and some of their stuff is out there but some of it is spot-on and reasonably priced:

OMG, I love this one! And only $40! http://www.chicstar.com/storefront/l...idProduct=7658
They have a lot of eBay auctions as well.

That's good to know! I am a 38DD, I have trouble finding things that fit there and also fit smaller in the waist and FORGET anything that buttons in front!
It just kills me, some of the prices. I wish I could sew, or convince my mom to make these for me like she used to when I was younger! When I was 19 and had my first "office job" she made me a ton of pencil skirts and 50's style blouses and the like to wear to work since I hated what was available in the stores (even then )...
