I really don't care. I don't follow fashion or keep up with the updated styles. Most are too expensive anyway these days.
I love wearing pantyhose when I wear my knee high boots with my long sleeve, plunging neckline dress that I have. It goes hot together, I think. That dress is awesome with pantyhose and knee high boots.

It seems that Mid American Credit Union in Wichita, KS has mandated that all female employees wear pantyhose (I assume that rule is only in effect when wearing skirts or dresses). The women claim it's an archaic rule and should be abolished. Pantyhose are "hot" (and not in a good way) and "itchy", so they say.
Apparently someone at The Wall Street Journal agrees (side note: doesn't WSJ have anything more important to look into, given the current economy?). Pantyhose sales have declined since the mid-90s, they say.
Since I wear mostly slack or jeans, I rarely wear pantyhose anymore but I always wear it (them?) when wearing dresses or skirts. I don't find them uncomfortable at all. And they are excellent for preventing thigh friction (not everyone is fortunate enough to have thighs that don't touch). Am I some sort of dinosaur? Am I destined to carry the entire pantyhose industry on my legs?
GMA is now running some sort of pantyhose challenge (guys, get ready !). Here's a link to the GMA info. You can also follow a link from there to watch the video piece that aired this morning (click the "Watch: Pantyhose in the workplace" link on the aforementioned GMA page).
So, what do you all think? Are (is?) pantyhose dead? Say it ain't so!!!

I do not wear panty hose. Usually, if I wear a dress I wear one that hits me mid shin or longer, so there is very little leg that sticks out. Aside from being very uncomfortable (IMHO), I do not wear them because I am not a "delicate flower" but rather something of a tom boy, and I do not have pantyhose on for more than 10 minutes when I have at least one run in them making them not only look bad, but a bad investment as well.
If I wear a dress in the cold of winter I will usually wear some tights to help keep my legs warm, but I usually wear pants if the weather is that bad.

The last time I wore pantyhose was to a funeral. They immediately ran up the back of one leg. Turns out they had been snagged by some tiny stitching inside the heel of the shoes. These were not cheap hose, either. They were good quality, supposedly run-resistant. I wound up going bare-legged to the funeral and no one batted an eye.
Pantyhose are hot, extremely uncomfortable, and if I never have to wear them again it will be too soon.

Ok ladies let me bring this topic around to another level...would you date a man who "preferred" you in pantyhose rather than bare legged? if yes, how long would you have had to been dating him to feel comfortable with that nylon mindset?

When I think of pantyhose I think of the big fat redneck woman with a red face that pours herself into panyhose without question and makes that swooshy sound of large thighs rubbing together...swoosh swoosh. Barf!

Lol. That's not an uncommon AMERICAN attitude. However, this not so common in Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong) and Europe.

They will by me, that's more sure. If I were at a club, I would go for an average looking girl wearing ph over a gorgeous model type not wearing them.

I live in Japan right now (Tokyo area) and I can tell you it's very much in style over here. A lot of girls wear them with short skirts and heels or boots, sometimes with shorts, and that's one of the many things I love about Japanese women. The businesswomen have to wear them with their skirt suits (no casual Fridays here, lol), but the girls also wear them at their leisure and make them fashionable.
