I think it depends on the type of sandals. Where I live my friends and I pretty much live in flip flops ten months of the year. Shoes are for the rare dress up occasion or work. Then again we rarely ever wear pants from March through October.

Men shouldn't show their feet unless they're at a beach or lounging around the house. Seriously guys, 90% of you have ugly feet and I just love it when you wear your sandals/flip-flops to crowded bars and get stepped on.

I have hairy man feet.
I do the public a service by wearing sneakers or boots.

I wear jeans with sandals, but usually it's Keen sandals with the covered toe. I am not a big fan of flip flops with them, but some nice leather ones can work for a casual setting.

I only wear sandals/flip flops on the beach or around the house, not in public. I just don't like the look.

I haven't noticed this, hopefully this is not a new trend. I don't want to see men's junk in their tight jeans.

I have seen that as well. I will wear covered toe sandals with khakis, but I do draw the line at dress pants, since even the dressiest sandals are just too casual.

I hate men in sandles. IT's just gross. Especially when I'm on the subway and I have to stare at their (mostly) ugly hairy man feet!!! And if I see a man with really well groomed feet in sandles, well, that's wrong as well.
