Question Sandals w/ Jeans for men?

I have noticed that a lot of men have started to wear jeans with sandals. I think this looks pretty cool. I would like to do it too, but whenever I put on sandals and jeans, my jeans always end up getting caught up in the sandals or my jeans start to rub the ground and I have pull them up every five seconds just to walk. Is there a secret that the other guys use that I don't know about? Should I try to find shorter jeans or something? If so, where can I find some, becuse all mine seem to be too long! I don't want to have to wear those really tight jeans like some guys are wearing now.

I wear sandles with jeans, even with longer jeans. I find its easy just to walk on the pant leg, rather than keep pulling them up all the time.

You can do what women do and wear different jeans based on what shoes they are wearing. If I'm wearing sandals I have jeans that are hemmed to that length. If I am wearing something with a heel I wear a pair that is longer.

ok, don't hate on me for this: but I hate to see people wear sandals with jeans!! Ugh! hate it. I don't know why it looks just wrong to me. I think of sandals for shorts or beachwear. But then.hey it's JMHO

Keep them longer... shorter ones look scream "geek"... My hubby wears his sandals with his jeans. Yes, the bottom of the jeans tend to get roughed up- but that's pretty much the look these days anyway.

Sandals look good with shorts but with jeans they look kind'a femmy. On the other hand they can look cool with nice dress slacks and a silk shirt. But jeans? No way.

See, now I think they look extra femmy with dress slacks and silk shirt... maybe it's the silk shirt

Sandals are okay with shorts and dress slacks but not for jeans? Something about this simply does not compute.

Nashcash, do you wear a belt? This might help with the jeans dragging the ground. I wear sandals on occasion with my jeans and I also have difficulty with them dragging. Most of the time I ignore it, whereas others I will wear a belt with my jeans (shirt covers the belt up so it doesn't look too odd).

Wear what makes you comfortable.

Jeans started as work trousers worn with heavy shoes or boots and in my mind jeans look odd unless worn with boots or heavy shoes, you know, like Redwings. Actually to me if it's not a Redwing situation it's not a jeans situation either; since I retired from the Boilermakers I never wear jeans, don't wear Carhartts and green mill-coats anymore either.
