Im going to a graduation dinner with my family, and a couple of close friends. The restaurant that were going to is semi formal, its nicely decorated and the customers are dressed nice/semi formal. Im having trouble picking out what dress to wear. What dress best suits the occasion?

I like the maroon one in the middle the best. Sassy and pretty but not over the top. Good color.

#1 is out. The fabric looks cheap and the color is heinous.

#3 is a little too much high-school-prom/stripper wannabe.

The maroon one would be better, it is a little more quiet so one can relax and have a nice evening meal with family and friends. The red is too loud for dinner, it might cause distraction in otherwise healthy appetites...and the last one is too flashy to sit down for dinner, it is more for a dark nightclub with many many people who won't really notice its "look at me" look..

I agree, if those are the only choices, I'd go w/the 2nd burgundy color also.

#2

#1 has an awful weird bustline
#3, I'm not even gonna get into it.

I would go a lot more low key, those look like prom dresses. Some suggestions:

If you want to go a bit dressier:

I like the middle one better too. It's more sophisticated and elegant.

I like the pictures newtoll suggested better. But if that is not your taste, definitely the middle dress.

I agree, I don't like any of them. Of the three, take #1. #2 is too bridesmaidish and #3...wouldn't be caught dead in it.
If this is happening this summer, go with natural fibers in something more chic and understated, like linen, silk or cotton.

Of the three choices, they all look like bridesmaids' dresses; however, I like the middle one best.

You can never go wrong with a simple black sheath.

yeah I like the second choice of dresses better. The original pics that the OP posted are not what I would call appropriate for a dinner engagement. I'd go more business casual or even a nice feminine suit. However, of the second choice of dresses, I like both of the gray dresses. If I HAD to pick from the original three, I'd pick the burgundy but ONLY because of the simplicity and color, I still don't like that flap thing happening on the front, it smells like prom dress to me LOL
Just my own thoughts....
