Are openly GAY Hairdressers better (or a pain)?
My wife goes to one of the fancy salons where haircuts alone can cost up to $100.00.
I like to go there and watch the goings on. At the salon, there are two openly gay hairdressers who display an outrageously flamboyant style. They should be in the movies, they act so gay and fulfill every stereotype of a gay hairdresser. The women who come into the salons seem to love them and they are booked a month in advance.
My wife's hairdresser is not as popular but seems to be very nice and does good haircuts.
Would you like to go to the gay hairstylist? Why or why not?

What difference does it make if he's gay or not? If he's good at hair, he's good at hair.

Well, the behavior is more likely to bother men that women. I personally have no problem being around openly gay men and I'm a straight male.

I couldn't care less about my hairdresser's sexuality just so long as I don't have to wear a bag over my head after leaving the salon.

I love gay hairdressers. In fact, I love gay men. They're usually really fun and have a great sense of humor.

I think it's a cultivated atmosphere that seems more chic or something. If I were paying 100 dollars for a haircut, I might want some ambience, too.
Hey, as long as they do a good job...

Wouldn't it be funny if that was all for show for their business? I'm not suggesting it is.
I'm just picturing a Saturday Night Live style scene where these flaming hair dressers close down their shop for the day, pull down the window shades and morph into beer chuggin', football watchin', women chasin' DUDES!!

I find the gay hairdressers more chatty than the female ones, and most times in the salon, I don't really feel like being chatty. Friendly yes, but constant constant chatter no. I've never had a gay hairdresser. I like to be able to say to my hairdresser, "Make my hair like yours!". I couldn't do that otherwise. Their sexual orientation has nothing to do with my decision.
