Probably 30s even if you have a really good body. You gotta dress your age so people will take you seriously. People in their 30s and beyond can look amazing! It's not like as soon as you turn 30, you have to be a frump.

Those stores have a lot of basics that don't look kiddie. The kiddie looks are terrible on anyone out of highschool. And I think after 21 you should look like you have your own style and not rip off a look strait out of anything junior classified.

But a perfect dress ex:

Cut the overdone bangle look out
Replace the belt with a leather one or tie it WITHOUT a bow
Add cardigan or jacket for modesty and style

OMG do you ever write a post that doesn't have to do with some sort of weird youth-obsession and using products to look young or taking a jab at "old women"?

Trashy?? What does it being juniors have anything to do with it being trashy? Do you mean style? Quality? There's no difference between some of the dresses I buy from BCBG and F21...except 200-300 bucks. The styles are similar as is the quality in many cases.

If something is flattering on someone, does it matter what department it came from? I wear menswear items too, but I don't think it makes me a butch.

My recent F21 purchases:
blouse, sweater 1, sweater 2
the pretty dresses I bought are no longer available online.

I'm 38 and I"ll continue to shop in the junior section until I stop seeing clothing that I like and that doesn't fit me.

I shop in the juniors section all the time. I notice that sections called "woman's" are for fat ladies, so where does that leave me? According to retail I'm not a woman since I'm not overweight.

The juniors section is cheaper and the clothes fit better on smaller women. However, the only thing I really buy from the juniors section is jeans or pants. If you want to look stylish and a little more mature, but still want cheaper clothes try H&M.

I have to agree with Onglet on this one... I have to shop in the junior's section because none of the stores in my area carry sizes 0/2/4 in the women's section. Since I am 40 now, I do try my best to get the most mature and least trendy/trashy junior sizes 1/3 I can find.
