What do you think?
How old is too old too shop in the juniors department at department stores (i.e. Macy's) or a juniors type stores (i.e. Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Aeropostale)
Or do you think there no cut off age as long as it fits/looks good?

I'm in my mid 20s and I sometimes think juniors type clothes are too "teenager" looking, but feel misses are too old looking for me.
Also, I worked in the juniors department at Macy's in college and saw women in their 40s trying on and buying things, but never really any older than that.

It depends if you are wearing this stuff in a coporate environment it may not be okay. If you are going to the club with your girlfrineds or hanging out on the weekends then it is fine. The clothes just seem to fit slimmer in places that might not be appropriate for all functions. That is the only thing I would be worried about.

I voted "never" as well. I'm 31 and I still shop in the Juniors Dept (well actually the Juniors Plus Dept) because its what I like. I don't look, feel or act like an old person so why should I have to dress like one?

I like:
Free People Clothing Boutique > Welcome to Free People

You can find lots of nice stuff that doesnt look teen-ish

Women sizes dont fit me right unless I am at my old fat weight.
Otherwise I am swimming. Too much room in all the wrong places.

I stopped shopping in the junior department in high school because I didn't want to look like a trendy teenager (and started shopping in vintage thrift stores so i could look like a different kind of trendy teenager, lol).

I voted never as well but I have to admit, lately I go into the Juniors area and everything looks really young. All the babydoll styles and leggins w/long shirt don't do it for me. I can't wait for Fall, hopefully style will shift some.

I'm 40 - shop the Juniors departments. I hate the clothes in the womens. Petite and missus are still too big for me.

Then again - I've never been one to really worry about what others think regarding what I wear. I've also never really conformed to what other women/mothers my age are wearing/doing/driving/ etc I'm definitely the black sheep!

"How old is too old too shop in the juniors department at department stores (i.e. Macy's) or a juniors type stores (i.e. Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Aeropostale)..." ?

When it no longer looks good on you.

I shop at ALL of the above stores and I'm in my late 20's. I can still buy most of my wardrobe from the juniors department at Macys. I just commented about that in another thread . I look good in it and there's nothing teenager-ish about it. However, I would NOT wear a tight tee that says "Boy Crazy" nor would I wear short shorts with the words "JUICY" written across my rear end. I wear suits to work and I've noticed that I spend alot less money on career wear when I buy it in the juniors dept instead of spending $200 on a suit from the misses dept. How many 'juniors' even have jobs that require wearing a suit? I find that to be so ridiculous but it works out well for me because eventually it all goes on clearance but I'm right there to snatch it up.
