There were reports that nurses aren't allowed to wear crocs anymore. They cause way too much static electricity and have affected some of the cardiac machines in the hospitals.
I use croc knock-offs to do my yard work. That's about the most I'd do with them. Even my dog would ignore them as a shoe of choice to chew on!
I did not know that about nurses not being able to wear them!
When I do yard work, I wear Wellies since they come all the way up my legs and they would protect me from snake bites! They are much cuter than they once were but they get pretty hot in the summer.
Haven't we already had massive discussions on this? Thank God cold weather is coming.
They're made of plastic, so ... no. Too many VOCs. Better just to live and let live. If people want to wear Crocs, how is it any of your business?
Don't worry, they have Crocs with fur to keep your feet warm, or ppl could opt for the ever so popular Uggs (ew). Oh, and Crocs aren't made of plastic or rubber. They're made of PCCR. Look it up.
But, it isn't any of my business. This thread was made so that people who DON'T like them, could discuss why they DON'T like them. I was just wondering if anybody else thought that they were as ugly as I thought they were. Just voicing my opinion. That's all. Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings.
This is really funny. I'm wearing Crocs right now and I'm not a nurse. I've got to wearing them everywhere. I do have an old pair for working in the garden. I have a pair of "Top Sider" Crocs that I think are really cool. I have a pair of two tone "wing tip" crocs so when I need to dress up. Besides, someday you might reach a point in society and respect, then nobody dares criticize you for what you wear. So go ahead and say my shoes look funny. I make more money than you.
I think they are very ugly. I do not own a pair. But...my youngest loves them and they are great for throwing on when we are going somewhere. My husband has the "fuzzy" crocs for winter and he loves them. He usually only wears them to walk the dog or get firewood.

Ummm....Good one? Nobody was criticizing you. Every one is just discussing how they don't PERSONALLY like Crocs. I don't understand why some people just can't get the fact that we are only talking about NOT liking Crocs! Maybe someday with all that money, you can buy yourself a good education, and realize that if you do like Crocs, you probably shouldn't be posting in this thread. Oh, and you are the one criticizing everybody else by saying that we don't make enough money. Last time I checked, money isn't everything. So go ahead and say that we are poor. I have more brains than you.
ok, I bought a pair, I am in the medical field, found that they made my ankles sore if I wore them for long periods. That said they are great for after work comfort. Lots of people I work with swear by them.
Just think, most of the good leather shoes will rot away. And thousands of years from now archaeologists will dig up thousands of plastic crocs and uggs and put them in museums as "typical early 21st century footwear."
