I like the newsboy hat. Brad Pitt doesn't look childish in it.
My journalism professor wears a hate similar to Indiana Jones, and he doesn't look childish in it. Of course, not all men can rock that look.
I think that it really depends on the guy. Some guys look great in hats and others not so much. It also varies with the type of hat depending on the rest of the guys style (as in not really diggin the cowboy hat on the thug gangsta guy). I personally think that hats are hot on most guys that I see wearing them! Childish though is not something that has ever come to mind when I saw a guy in a hat.
I'd wear a Western hat if I were in the West but they just look out of place in other parts of the country. In the East folks assume you're either a redneck or someone just up from South of the border if you wear one.
Behavior can be childish...not hats tho. Matter of fact...thinking that hats are childish is kinda childish.
