Default Help with foundation search....

Well.....I am a little in the "pickle", due to an oversight of mine.
As many of you know, am I currently using Mary Kay foundation, and I'm pretty happy with it.
However, I just ran out......arrrrggghhh....thinking I had another bottle "on hand", but was mistaking.

So, in order for me to get a refill, several days will pass.....yickes !!!!
Just what cheaper brands are you familiar with, in order to 'tie me over" ?
Revlon, Cover Girl...etc.?

I haven't used those brand foundations in AGES, and know, they all came out with new formulas and updated products.
Anyone has some input, advice, recommendation?
HELP......I NEED FOUNDATION and have to buy something today.
Don't forget.....I live in Florida's hot and humid weather, and I have "mature" skin (the big 4-0 will be here soon enough )

I can't say enough about Lumene makeup, Time Freeze, available at CVS.

And I'm someone who has a drawer filled with every conceivable foundation out there from really expensive to drug store variety.

I LOVE this stuff. Wonderful, natural finish, and it smoothes the fine lines I've acquired as someone who is in her 40s.

Under 20 bucks, too!

Hope this helps...

I love the brand that Target carries. One is called Boots and the other is Botanics (displayed side by side and from the same company). I was used to wearing only the "higher end" dept store brands but got tired of having to make a trip to the mall for stuff so I tried this once and LOVE IT!

What is the difference of those two, if they are made by the same company ?

One has more "botanical" ingredients on their cleansers and lotions. They have more than 1 line. The "Boots No 7" and the Botanics are the two I use most of.

Boots - Britain's health and beauty expert, now available in the US.

hi THERE! That's funny...I was in EXACTLY the same pickle as you! I'm a Mary kay Cream Foundation user myself and I just don't have the patience. I bought some Cover Girl Smoothers because I like the 'color match' panel they have where you just put your hand under to get the perfect match. The Smoothers comes in a little compact plastic squeeze type bottle that I love for convenience sake.

As it turns out, I like the foundation even more than my MK foundation and think i'm gonna swear off the latter. This foundation (the Cover Girl Smoothers) is light enough for me to easily mix w/ my moisturizer for a sheer look during the day and also provides enough coverage for evening. Plus, the buff beige is the most perfect color match I have had yet.

Also, it smells nice. I don't like the smell of MK foundations...I used to be a MK lady so I can do some bashing.

LOL.....That's just the inconvenience of MK.
Some products are really nice, but....if you run out, you have to order it either with your sales director, or contact another beauty consultant.....and WAIT...until it arrives at your house, if she doesn't have to right shade on hand.

That's exactly the pickle I've gotten myself into.....no foundation (and I would be caught dead, if I was ever to leave the house, showing up for work without at least foundation on!)

OK...so I headed to Target last night, "investigating" the much hyped about "boots Nr.7".
I, OF COURSE, bought more then just that....(Geez, how can a girl NOT to????)

I bought the following:
*Foundation boots Nr.7 (lifting and firming formula) in the shade "Blonde".
*Nr.7 Refine & Rewind Intense Perfecting Serum
*Nr. 7 Time Resisting Day Cream
*Nr.7 Intense Line Filler
*Nr.7 Eye Liners
*Nr.7 Eye Shadows
*Nr.7 Mascara
*Facial Wash
*Eye Make-Up Remover

I put on the foundation last night, to see, how it would cover, how it would look, feel and match.
So far, excellent match with my skin tone, great coverage....and I was quiet surprised and pleased about the outcome.
I washed and toned my face, and applied the "Intense Line Filler" and "Intense Perfecting Serum" for the night.

I have to say.....I was shocked a bit this morning !!!!!

It seems like, my lines and wrinkles are not as pronounced and "deep", as they were just yesterday !!!!
And having those results just after 1....just 1 Application !!!!
I am not getting my pants in a bunch...just yet.
But, could it be ????
I am going to keep on using it, and will report back with the results. (As a guinea pig of some sort.....LOL)
