LOL When I first moved to Chicago I lived in "boys town" for 6 months or so because I really didn't know the area and had to get a cheap apt. fast. I saw more than my fair share of macrame shorts (not joking) while living in the neighborhood.
I liked the neighborhood and it was a cool experience but being a single hetero guy I pretty much couldn't make friends and had to walk 5 blocks or more to get to bars etc. with actual women at them.

What started out a silly question made me laugh the most today.
BTW, hubby wears these types of shirts to work...it's a comfort thing. Do people really sit around and worry about this stuff?

I've never seen macrame shorts, those must be a sight, lol. But my hubby wears sleeveless t-shirts when he's working outside and it's really, really hot. Not the kind that bares half his body, with the enormous armholes, just sleeveless Hanes t's. And he's not gay, at least as far as I know. Nor is he a redneck.

That's kind of why I started this subject, one of our wearhouse guys wears them and everyone seems to think of it as a gay or redneck look. It is a view I have adopted personally, but some people seem offended. I have worn that style in the past but found that no matter what shirt I am wearing, I am soaked in sweat within minutes when away from air conditioning. My style is the shirt with short sleeves and buttons, but no pocket protector...LOL

I just hope they're playing some sort of sport. That is the only time it should ever be allowed.

Artsy - I agree with you! It really depends on the guy's build whether he looks good! Gotta be a 6 pack and not a keg up under there!
